Introductory Programs

KRJR Weekend (Kinder Ring Junior): August 2-4, 2024

Start your child off with a comfortable and successful experience. Each summer, we offer a three-day, two-night program for 7-9 year olds. This program, run by experienced adult staff, allows your child to try overnight camp in a small dose. Our KRJR campers go to regular activities and are immediately welcomed into the Kinder Ring family. We have found that the majority of the children who start camp in this way gain the confidence to know that they “can do it.” They gain the comfort of knowing where everything is, experience how much fun Kinder Ring can be, and even meet many campers who will be their bunkmates the following summer. Many current friendships can be traced back to that first KRJR experience.

KRJR campers live in our bunks, have scheduled activities, swim in the pool, eat in the dining room, and are instant “stars” around camp for the entire weekend. Each camper will return home with a Kinder Ring t-shirt, arts and crafts projects, new friendships, enough memories to last until camp begins the following year, and a real sense of accomplishment.

Rookie Day #3: Monday, August 5, 2024 – NEW DATE ADDED!

During a full day experience, your future camper will enjoy everything that Kinder Ring has to offer. This fun-filled program is offered for children 6-9 years old. Our Rookies will play sports, enjoy our water activities, create some amazing art and crafts projects, and eat a delicious lunch in our dining room. Your campers will have a great day meeting new friends and experiencing a terrific day-in-the-life as a Kinder Ring Camper!
